Total Deathcore Disney Cover Contest

Do you like deathcore? Are you a millennial that’s living vicariously through your music tastes to mask the fact that you are growing up? If you’ve answered yes to both, if at least not one of these questions, then we have some good news for you.

We are entering into a Disney song Deathcover cover contest. And with your support, we can rise to the top of the ranks. We sadly can’t tell you which song just quite yet sadly. In just one day, we were able to restructure and compose our ripping drum tracks with Jose. Jake and Connor threw down some epic and hellish riffage not only on guitar, but bass as well.

We are having the pleasure of having our demos and pre-pros our very own Ronnie Garcia from Bamboo Audio. Sharing a space with our last producer, Clayton Blue. This studio is a powerhouse of talent and we are graced to have Ronnie assist us with production as well as laying down some killer guitar tracks.

This experience has been one of our best studio experiences yet. If we aren’t mistaken, this is our first studio session writing as a band. The Idea was delivered and transcribed ever so graciously. Coming into the studio with demos ready really helped the writing process. We will tell you now, it’s not easy to cover a Disney song.

With so many different tempo changes and even time signature changes, it was hard to keep our writing to the grid. The challenge really put our song writing skills and regardless if we win or not, we are so proud to be able to accomplish the full instrumental in one day. WIth a full band, many would say there’s too many cooks in the kitchen. In this case, there was definitely a sweet spot and fine balance of contribution, suggestion make and idea sharing.

We are happy to have a banger on our hands regardless of the outcome and results of the contest. To be honest, if things don’t go our way, we may or may not change the lyrics, change the tempo, possibly the tuning, and there you have it, a brand new single. It’s true enough to the original, but heavy enough to make a whole new song out of, that you would never tell it was based off a cover. So save this information now before we update our articles and take this one down. Because this will soon be insider information.

We are very honored and would like to thank Total Deathcore from the bottom of our hearts to let us be a part of this experience. We are always happy for a little friendly competition. And even happier to see new emerging bands with so much talent that deserve more recognition. Who knows, maybe we will end up playing or even touring with the other participating groups.
